The Wine
Quarter Horse is a classic Aussie blend of ripe curranty Cabernet and spicy liquorice Shiraz well ripened in Victorian vineyards. It's the work of winemaker Andrew Byers a talented guy who first thought he'd become a professional golf player but decided after a stretch of work experience at the famous Villa Maria winery that his talents lay there. His dad was mightily relieved! This is rich ripe red – supple and fruity enough to enjoy on its own but spot on too with marinated lamb shanks or some melt in the mouth pulled pork.
